Project Title:
PEI Hunting Workshop
Project Summary:
This animal workshop, held at the Charlottetown Trap & Skeet Club, reaches novice hunters Island-wide. It acts as the "field day" for the Hunter Safety Program, allowing participants who successfully pass the online exam to receive their PEI hunter safety certificate.
A number of volunteer-led stations allow the students to learn safe and proper hunting techniques, as well as the fundamentals of wildlife conservation and hunting ethics.

In 2020, this event was revamped to meet Provincial COVID-19 restrictions. The project engaged approximately 15 volunteers that helped educate and introduce 45 islanders to the sport of hunting.
