Project Title:
Enmore River (Western Section) Rehabilitation Project
Project Summary:
Our habitat and restoration project was to develop 3 km of access trails along the Western section of the Enmore River System. We worked to establish more diverse riparian zone with the planting of 500 trees and shrubs. Our project also focused on ensuring uninterrupted fish passage from Hwy 2 to the head of tide, on the Enmore River system, with the removal of blockages while stabilizing banks with brush matting. Our project ended with a public BBQ held in October at our local ball field. This provided the opportunity to educate guests on our projects outcome and the funders for it.
