

Application Information
The PEI Wildlife Conservation Fund Committee considers applications twice each year:
The spring (January - March) and again in the fall (September - October).
PEIWCF funding for Fall 2023 is now closed. The next round of funding will open in Spring 2024.
The proposed projects must benefit wildlife on Prince Edward Island. Projects should fit into one of the five work priority categories:

Habitat restoration or enhancement - must contribute to the improvement of wildlife habitat in river, upland or wetland ecosystems

Natural areas - must contribute to the improvement or expansion of designated natural areas for wildlife in PEI
-
Education - must contribute to a better understanding and/or appreciation of wildlife among a segment of the Island public

Research and monitoring - must contribute to our knowledge of wildlife or wildlife habitat in PEI
-
Other - must have value for wildlife or wildlife habitat in PEI
Reports for successful projects awarded in the Fall 2023 round of funding are required to be submitted online via our application portal. Reports are due by no later than March 31st, 2024 at 5:00pm*.
*Please note: extensions may be requested in certain circumstances to be considered on a case by case basis at the discretion of the Fund Administrator; the Community Foundation of PEI.
